I left active duty and re-enlisted for the guard with the 20K bonus, I been in my unit for a year and some change. I asked a couple times about the process of my bonus but my readiness NCO said “GIMS is down and you gotta wait til the federal fiscal year to start”. I’m going to hit 2 years in the guard soon and a few other guys in my unit got theirs; I don’t need my bonus like it’s not that urgent but it would help me get a leg up on paying off my debt. A guy been waiting for a good minute.

Just take it up your chain of command. If your issues are not reasonably resolved, keep moving up the chain. Do not skip your chain of command as it is not keeping with Army traditions. Always afford the lowest level to handle your issue and take it up to the next when they are not able to assist. In this case, reach out to your company S1.

I would also add this statement, and the MSG most likely will agree that you need to be DMOSQ, with no administrative flags.

COL (Join to see) - Yes, the Soldier will have to meet all criteria to be eligible and the S1 should inform him if he is deficient. Great add-on, sir!

Get with your S1 and 1SG immediately, same thing happened to me and our S1 NCOIC was able to square it with Finance in about a month, bonus in my bank account one morning. If they slow roll it take it to the BN CSM, never seen Sergeant Majors get pissed more than when people aren't getting food or getting paid.
