I personally believe it will be Sgt Maj Kasal, but I worked under Sgt Maj VanOostrom and he was a great leader.

It will be a travesty in my opinion if Kasal doesn't get it. Kasal has been on the front lines for the USMC for years, meritoriously promoted numerous times, Marine/NCO of the quarter/year/etc. numerous times, and he has multiple awards for valor including the Navy Cross and 2 purple hearts. To me they have to make Kasal SgtMajUSMC or it says to the combat decorated soldiers that their efforts are not as important as staff time.
