Also what if you suffer from Memory problems what do you all do to help? I finaly am set up with a referral to a cognitive therapist at the VA.

PO2 Corey Ferretti I too have memory problems. When I was at Bragg, the TBI Clinic got me a PSP with a memory "game". When I first used it my memory was at something like a 72 year olds memory. The more I use it the better my memory.

I have issues also. Some of them stem from being overworked and under slept, but this is the most frustrating symptom of PTSD that I am dealing with now. I forget conversations and whole evenings out, or can's associate concurrent events with each other, e.g. I remember the dinner, but not the movie, even though they happened an hour apart. Perversely, I can remember great details about events in the distant past.
Coping is mostly with my phone reminders; "pick up the kids from the bus stop" as a calendar alert AND a phone alarm, birthdays a week out and then three days out. My wife helps a lot, esp. with scheduling.
I run my own business serving customers, so you can see how this is a major issue.

Quite literally I was watching a movie with my wife and commented on one of the trailers playing at the beginning looked really cool. I told her that we should rent it because I'd seen it and thought that she would probably like it - she was sitting in the movie theater when I saw it. That was one of the first 'date' nights we'd had in over six months and was a pretty big deal for us to go out.

Yup that is the same issues I have to a freaking T. Okay I just need to figure a way to cancel out other alerts so I know when reminders go off and not ignore them

Good luck man. Like all Tech devices, you have to master them to get their fullest potential. If I wasn't married, then my phone would surely be my 'electronic wife' telling me what to do. By the way, my wife is awesome and this stuff with me stresses her the hell out.

If you find an app that lets you sync several calendars into one, let me know. I need to consolidate my feed to something more manageable.

Writing things down only works if you remember to read them. I think that the most important lesson that all must learn if they aspire to aging gracefully is to laugh at themselves. It's a trait that my wife and I share and exercise frequently. The alternative is to turn into a cranky old fart...

True words Jack, gotta remember to read them. My device helps me remember many things.
