I updated my board file last year with all of my awards, PCS orders, etc. for the Senior Enlisted Promotion Board. This year I looked at my OMPF and most of my awards and PCS orders are gone, vanished, not there anymore. I know for a fact the information was in my OMPF before the board last year. Does HRC or some other organization delete the information to see if you are paying attention?

SSG David Whittington - I am a Document specialist at my civilian job. I scan docs in all day. I work for a Mortgage company. The Crappy system that the army uses deletes stuff because of the server and the repository. The repository is a place where they go. With a system as large as the Army has, I think that some just drop out. The repository will only take so much data just sitting there. I don't know how the Army's system works, but have heard that they are switching to an new system that I use here at work. It is called Laser Fiche. I don't know when they are supposed to do the switch but the new system will take PDF's and TIFF files. The new system might stop that.

I have been trying to get mine fixed for years, since the IPERMS system come on line and it is screwed up!

I was listed as an E2 for my last three years in the National Guard. Drill pay, and status were correct, however anytime new orders were issued they had to be corrected to show E4. After three years of fixing this, I was finally promoted to E3 (according to whoever deals with that paperwork). You don't want to get me started on missing awards/schoolings. I have more DD-215's than I can count due to missing awards or authorization for awards that I never received. That whole system is a joke, and it was highly encouraged to go over everything a fine-tooth comb each year with ERB's.
