I am all about helping the military in any form or shape and was curious who here is a lifetime VFW member Like I am. Did you ever think about becoming a VFW member or have helped the VFW

I have been a member since 2001....finally started the process to convert to a lifetime after finally joining a post. Only been in the post once (to convert from at large to the post).

I am a life member and currently Jr Vice and Surgeon of 4695 in Hurst Texas. I am also District 21 new Ways and Means. The VFW sometimes gets a bad wrap, but I try to be proactive, I am also a member of Concerned Veterans of America, Wounded Warrior Project, Heroes on The Water, and IAVA.

I concur, join your local VFW as a Life Member and be evolved. If you're disabled in anyway as a result of your Military service also join your local DAV Chapter. In the long run it will connect you with others who understand and can help if you need help. Also Lifetime membership is far cheaper than paying annual dues which expire. Some Post and Chapters will help offset a portion of your Lifetime dues also - not all, but many. Also if you are a qualifying Veteran and need help the other members and Service Officers are there to help.
