The local draft board. I didn’t want to get drafted so I joined. Best thing I have ever done.

Since Kindergarten, I’ve always wanted to be a US Marine. My uncle Noah Sauvé, was in the Carlson Raider team. He was my family’s hero, he was a Marine. When he saw me in my dress blues for the first time, he cried.

I wanted to from the 9th grade and signed up during my Senior Year with my parents signature. Less than a year later I was in Basic Training. Have never regretted it!

I always knew I'd join the military. My father was in the Army Reserves but never talked with me about joining. His only requirement when I joined was NOT joining the Army, so I joined the USAF. My recruiter did more for me to join than my did; he took me to get my driver's license. I used his own truck for my driving test while my dad was at work.
