A professional colleague convinced me to join the National Guard and the. Active duty

My dad he was a 32 year three war veteran of the navy, he served in world war 2 korea and Vietnam. and my uncles on both sides of the family 1 from dad's side served in the army in the pacific theater and another brother was a merchant marine as well as two of my mom's brothers, who also served in europe in the Army. Dad served on Kaiser Coffins or jeep carriers in both the Pacific and Atlantic During world war two. Made two round the world cruises on The Shangri La in the fifties and a bunch of med cruises on the Forrestal in the 1960's.
