I told my mother I didn't know what to do with my life. She said, "join the Air Force." So I did. I have never regretted it.

I was influenced by both my parents who had been in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

The ROTC NCOIC at my college influenced me to join. He saw me at registration when I was registering for my freshman classes and asked me to join the ROTC program. It turned out to be a great decision. He was a great NCO and example for me.
