As a Cavalryman for life, I am fond of the Fiddlers Green poem. I can appreciate it. It is unique. But some have mentioned to me it is offensive to other non-cavalrymen and that it encourages suicide. I disagree. Is it offensive to you?

First, any who get offended by this are just simply whining just to whine. Secondly, as for those that are reading way way way way to far into it that it encourages suicide, then they, too, need to perform a cranial-rectal extraction procedure.

I always kept a single bullet in my med pouch for just such emergencies.

It is not encouraging suicide, it is discouraging being scalped or in this day and age, having your head cut off.
