in short, we are as a country our biggest threat. citizens will not stand for their rights and fight for them, we allow the government to grow stronger on a daily basis, we vote for people who are selfish and care nothing about our constitution. the supreme court thinks that it is now the supreme being, the president thinks that america is the reason for all of the worlds problems, and congress doesn't have the guts to stop POTUS or SCOTUS from what they are doing. the government is no longer for the people, by the people. democracy has nearly been eliminated, the electoral voting system is ridiculous, illegals are allowed to wander freely and commit horrific crimes and be rewarded for it. veterans are homeless while illegals are provided with shelter, food, and amnesty. The list goes on and on and on and on.

The answer is homegrown extremism, be it "militias" or jihadis. Crazies with an extreme hard-line mentality are unquestionably our biggest threat.
I would say China since they can get us in so many ways. I do like the answer " Ourselves" though. So much crap the U.S. Does that comes around and bites us in the ass and the you look at our politicians and media. Thanks CW4 (Join to see) for getting me all depressed!

SFC Joseph Weber, thank you for responding. I didn't intend on making anyone feel depressed, but I understand why the current state of our country could make someone feel that way. Although our country has a lot of areas to improve in, I wouldn't want to be part of anything else.

I take all threats (foreign & domestic) very seriously! Until credible evidence prooves to the contrary.

China is not our enemy. Sure there is an ideological rift between our governments and philosophies. However Chinese "communism" is based upon Confucianism through and through.

Furthermore, atrocities have been commited against the Chinese people by powerful leaders in their history.
The Mandate of Heaven chooses a singular leader to head a dynasty. Essentially making Mao Zedong no different than Qin Shi Huangdi
China also doesn't have a history of massive expansion. The empire was built over millenia. They are the Middle Kingdom and don't seek Liebensraum like Nazi Germany.
I really wish China was studied a little bit more instead of constantly being thrust into a "Super Power" Arena with the United States. Yes they have nukes! Let's keep the competition to the Olympics instead of military conflict.
And finally think of what would happen to Wal-Mart if China turned the everyday low prices off? In the end China has too much invested in U.S. Debt to risk their entire economy over.

None of the above, our over bloated budget is our biggest threat. There will come a day when someone says no we can't loan you anymore...then what?

I also believe it is us. No other country has the conventional forces necessary to invade us. China could f*ck with our fiances, Russia could nuke us, ISIS could get us one building a time, N Korea could be squashed like the gnat that it is. We are at a point where our leadership could not lead a squad of starving Marines to an all you can eat buffet. Just sayin', my opinion and not policy.
