Anyone know the design history of the Gamma Goat and what famous Woman played a pivotal roll in the design?

Roger Gamount was the inventor and models include M561 and M792 (ambulance version). I have only heard of this vehicle but never worked on it. I do know it is capable off road.

No, SPC Korey R., I do not. I voted you up because that's a very good question. I was going to guess and then Google it. Heck, my guess was too young - I didn't realize the Gamma Goat was that old - and I couldn't find the answer even with the help of Google. That is an excellent military trivia question!

Oh, with your hint I get it. Mamie Eisenhower! Still, a great question.
