We love houston
There are several networking groups available already but they charge HUGE fees to join. My goal is to have a group that meets once a week and members donate $10 each month (collectively) to a local Veteran Service Organization. I've built this model in four other cities and we have referred millions of dollars of local business AND donated to some great charities! If you are interested, please reach out to me at [login to see] .

Have you heard of the LSVA (Lone Star Veterans Association). To my knowledge, there are no fees to join and it is sponsored by the city of Houston with many activities (i.e. softball teams, social outings, hiring events, etc) in multiple parts of the city. It is open to all Veterans, but believe they specialize in post 9/11 vets. Their website is: http://www.lonestarveterans.org. There are also multiple other military organizations in the area. For West Point Graduates, there is a Houston Alumni Chapter that meets regularly. For all Service Academy Graduates, there is a B2B (Business to Business) breakfast on the 1st and 3rd Friday morning of every month at the Galleria Mall. There is also a group that meets monthly about Leadership topics. There are others as well that I don't recall off the top of my head. Hope this helps.

In case anyone is interested, the next few B2B breakfasts in Houston are as follows:

Hi all,

Our next meeting will be Friday, Jun 5 at the Daily Grill on the second floor of the Galleria, Alabama side near the Westin Hotel at 7AM. Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Fridays each month.

Our Speaker 5 Jun: Albert Okagbue, CPA who will speak on tax issues and tax reduction strategies with special focus on small business and the self employed.

Future Speakers Always Needed
June 19: Jim Hardwick of Ideal Roofing. Rather than talking on his 15 years in the roofing business, Jim will advise on steps consumers should take in selecting a contractor for any type remodeling and how to avoid scams or contractor issues.
July 3: No meeting. Enjoy your holiday weekend.
July 17: Frank Urbanic, Author of a new book on the Texas City disaster during WWII and the preparedness of Boy and Girl Scouts called on to be first responders.

We are always looking for interesting speakers. Would love to hear about your business or volunteer your buddy. Please reply to this email to speak on your company or recommend a speaker for any future meeting.

Important! Please visit academyb2bnetwork.com and edit your contact information. There is also a place to post your resume or description of your business. Contact Chuck Cavin at [login to see] for a temporary password if needed.

In the last nine years the B2B Network recorded 712 deals as a result of our members helping each other grow their business. We are serious about helping you grow yours.

We have increased the networking time during our breakfasts to facilitate introductions. Why not call someone you have not seen in a while and invite them to meet for breakfast? Follow-up one-on-one meetings are encouraged as the best way to explore business relationships.

Please unsubscribe below if you no longer want to receive these email invitations.

Please RSVP to [login to see] or Al at [login to see]

I live south of houston in the Manvel area but work in the houston area. I am starting to network out just to meet other veterans. I have a few veterans that are looking to relocate to houston if they are able to find jobs in their career field.

I live in Houston, about 5 miles from NRG. I don't really know anyone there, and would really like to connect with some folks, whether professionally or otherwise.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
