Absolutely - update and post discussions. It's my number one tool for generating leads and closing deals!

As I understand, LinkedIn uses an algorithm to measure activity on accounts. The more activity (job search, postings, conversations, etc.), the better your visibility to those who may be looking for a candidate like you. From personal experience, the more I work on LinkedIn's site, the more recruiter calls/contacts I receive.
