Why am I getting billed from my ER visit ?

I'm active duty army . I got hit by a car and I went to the hospital (off base) and had to go to the ER. I got a bill from the hospital for 13,000 thousand dollars ! I thought Tricare paid for my medical bills . Please , any help would be wonderful. I'm stressed out.

Simple fix call the hospitals billing department and remind them you are Active Duty and to pound sand, don’t pay it! The Hospital has to bill Tricare and they KNOW it! The Billing Department is just being lazy! Go pound sand!
