Why are pump action rifles not as popular as pump action shotguns?

Pump action weapons can be fired more rapidly than bolt or lever action weapons and are more resistant to loading failures. (I suppose I can expect some disagreement there but that is my experience with pump action shotguns.) In the interest of full disclosure, my only experience with pump action rifles is the 1906 Winchester .22 cal LR. I was somewhat surprised at the selection of pump action rifles available on Guns.com, especially the Henry .22, the Colt 44-40, and the Remington 30-06. I honestly wasn't expecting to find any more than my old friend, the 1906 Winchester.

Maybe due to how it's loaded, by a tube, lining up bullets at it's primer against the bullet head.
With that said, lets say a 30.06 rifle, loaded, all the bullets lined up to each other in the tube.
Then slam the rifle down on it's butt stock, Lol, not for me, but I do wonder.

SGT (Join to see), the Remington 760/7600 is a detachable magazine fed 30-06. I had one for many years, great gun for deer but not for my shoulder. I even had 2 after market mags that increased my load out from a mag with 3 rounds to one with 8 rounds.

Maj Robert Thornton - That Remington sounds like a nice rifle, I once had a 1903 in 30.06 and it kick hard too.

In The Early 20th Century Pump Action 22s Were Popular At Shooting Gallery’s And Fairs. However They Were Fragile And Broke Often, That’s Why You Don’t See Many Around Today.
Pump Action Center Fire Rifles Were Popular In The 50s-60s , But Were More Expensive To Manufacturer Then Lever Action And Bolt Action.
If A Gun Manufacture Would Come Out With A 44 Mag Pump I Would Buy One In A Heartbeat It Would Be A Great Brush Gun
