Why aren't Officer Candidate School trainers (aka TACs) allowed to wear their black caps? TACs can't wear their distinctive black caps in OCS. Is this a bow to PC? What's next, drill instructor hats because the are scary?

I'm not sure I understand the correlation between PC and headgear.
