Why aren't people taking "stolen valor" more seriously? I feel they are downplaying this. Is impersonating a LEO a crime? Why? Same, same?

Because I read these articles that talk about it, but dismiss it! There was a full bird on Task and Purpose who said exactly that and complained about a couple Rangers that bitch slapped an imposter a couple times. Considering what they could've done, I think they showed self-restrain. I feel the uniform isn't respected anymore, nor the citations people earned, and it's frustrating, as I'm from a VERY military family (both parents, both grandfathers, several uncles, a couple ring knockers, etc) and I've always taught my kids respect, and I feel this is lacking in society along with integrity. So to answer your question (as I digressed), I'm not hearing about it in the news, are you?
