Why do liberals claim big business is running the Republicans when they are taking as much money as the Republicans?

I first noticed this when I used an app called buypartisan… to see which companies where giving to which party so I could support the republican companies…. Turns out they were mostly giving to the democrats or both.

They get the narrative out first and the public is naïve enough to believe on face value.....its hard to change the opinion of the population once the first report goes out.....something we've seen in combat operations across many theaters of war.

Companies give money to the opposite party so that they have the appearance of being bipartisan, even though the numbers don't lie (though I need to verify them with other sources than just opensecrets.org). I say that because some companies, even though giving money to both parties, give a significantly larger amount to one party over the other. I noticed that labor unions especially contribute almost solely to the Democrat party (big shocker).

I myself am of the opinion that labor unions have outlived their usefulness, at least the UAW.
For example, the Toyota plant in Mississippi, I have been told that they have no UAW representation but the company gives its workers great benefits and very competitive wages, not to mention worker safety programs that exceed OSHA regulations.
