Why do you believe we have to keep the second amendment?

For the same reason we need the 1st amendment, the 4th amendment and all of the others.....

For one tyranny against the government and two to protect life and property for starters

SCPO (Join to see) The second amendment is the muscle behind the brain of the first amendment. The first amendment provides the right to free speech, free assembly, free religion, free press, and to petition the government to fix their mistakes. The second amendment is the insurance policy that those rights won't be trampled by the government. It is important to defend all of our constitutional rights. If we are willing to start sacrificing our rights in the hope of safety, we risk losing those rights.
