Why do you think there are so many school shootings now as opposed to say 25 to 30 years ago? We all know that guns can’t shoot themselves, so obviously that is not the problem in my opinion. I honestly believe that there is a direct correlation between the rise of school shootings and the taking of God out of the classroom, and kids not getting a well deserved a** whooping. Thoughts on this?

I agree with your opinion but wish to add more on Parenting and the indoctrination of our youth in the school system. We used to learn many things that would benefit us in life while in school such as cooking, sewing, wood working, metal working repair of small and large engines and so on ... now that is also not the case. Plus our youth is being taught many things that are just flat out wrong. Math problems that took us 2 steps to complete now take 10-20 steps and if they get a wrong answer they are still correct because they showed the work to get the wrong answer. Spelling doesn't matter as long as they are close to the right way to spell it or it can be read correctly. and there is an Anti American attitude in the schools like never before. Plus some parents feel it is up to the schools to raise their children and allow their children to do nothing all their lives but play video games or leech off them instead of doing chores and teaching them responsibility.

Because schools are gun free zones. To be exact kill zones. No one there to return fire.

Today everything is about right here right now satisfaction. Everyone want's respect but no one wants to give respect and they have forgotten you have to give respect in order to get it back. People are allowed to bully each other in and out of school even though the school has a no bully pollicy kids find a way to get around it and still do it and get away with it so you have a kid that is a lone rapped up in a world that has no real face to face contact no respect and in a no on to talk to most often or no one that is hearing him or her. And no disapline they are not taught right or wrong or how to deal with life or people or that they have to take responsibility for what they do.

Violent video games ascension matches perfectly with mass shootings. Correlation, certain. Causation, highly probable.

Well just look back to my school days, every 8 year old or above carried a Cub Scout or Boy Scout pocket knife, everywhere! When I got to high school I joined the California Cadet Corps, A National Guard run Military Science course. We had drill rifles, ceremonial firing rifles, and target rifles and pistols. We had an on campus firing range. We were a semi rural campus, the farm boys came to school in pickups with gun racks in the back window, during pheasant season, the rack held shotguns. During deer season the rack held rifles. We had no shootings, after Joe Biden declared school Campuses "Gun Free Zones" mass shootings started to "happen at schools".

Report: 92 Percent of Mass Shootings Since 2009 Occurred in Gun-Free Zones
On October 9, the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) released a revised report showing that 92% of mass public shootings between January 2009 and July 2014 took place in gun-free zones.
The CPRC report was released in response to an Everytown for Gun Safety study claiming only 14% of mass public shootings took place in gun-free zones. Everytown actually claimed 86% of such incidents occurred in places where guns were allowed.

CPRC showed that the 86% claim rests on Everytown’s “inclusion of attacks in private homes” and “numerous errors in identifying whether citizens can defend themselves.” For example, Everytown “[ignores] rules that prevent general citizens from carrying guns [for self-defense]” in certain cities, and they fail to recognize that “allowing police to carry guns is not the same thing as letting civilians defend themselves.”

IMHO, I blame a lot of it on bulling. A lot of the shooters are tired of it.

Gee, let's see...We threw God out of our schools, let our government teach our children that e evolved from ooze one day, monkeys the next! Has anyone seen a monkey or any other species evolve into something else lately like your uncle Herb? Then we threw out corporal punishment in the schools, parents forgot or refused to parent their children so they grew up wild and felt entitled to do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted! Look at the school shootings, you'll find each one was isolated, a loner, and mental illness and should have never had access to a gun of any kind in the first place! Now you've got David Hogg being a professional fear mongerer playing off everyone's emotions of the Florida shooting, a shooting by the way he WASN'T EVEN AT!! And those were his own words!! So who's feeding him all this gun negativity to get the halls of legislators and citizens so worked up about the wrong issue? Yep, the dems and the liberals. Meanwhile the second Amendment is slowly being taken away from responsible citizens who sit back, see the train wreck coming, but can't keep their yes off it and just watch doing nothing. The problem isn't the tool, it's mental illness! According to the FBI & CDC, more people WILL be murdered by use of a club, foot, or fist than any other tool. Guns ranked way on down the list. But we had over 30,000 gun deaths last year!! Sure did! Now, start subtracting the suicides, the accidental deaths, and such, and that number is reduced to about 1,250 deaths per year by gun. Of course these numbers don't include Chicago which no one including our legislature, David Hogg, the City Aldermen of Chicago or the people of Chicago or anywhere else for that matter, seem to give two cents about. David Hogg has this whole nation stirred about 17 dead kids and that's a tragedy to be sure but, he's pointing out the wrong platform and where has he been hiding this whole time while kids ave been dying in Chicago or being slaughtered by the millions in abortion houses? We need to focus on mental health and enforcement of our current laws which are already the best anywhere but like everything else have chinks in their armor as was discovered when the FBI failed to follow up on a complaint which eventually led to people getting killed. Talking to those in law enforcement, for years they have told capital hill that in order to enforce properly they need manpower and for years those on capital hill have given themselves pay increases, bonuses, junkets, and lavished upon themselves many things no average American could ever afford all while just rattling a sabre for show, but no go.
