My divorce was years ago, but I remember getting all BAH restored after the divorce was final and was able to show the child support order. It didn't come as one payment; it's was single rate and another that I don't remember the term for, but the two added up to married rate.

They do if you have physical custody of your child, but since you don't have physical custody, you are not entitled to it. In most states you only have physical custody if your children live with you for exactly half the year. In Hawaii for example, where my children are located, if you have your kids for even ONE day under that mark, your custody automatically reverts. I feel your pain PV2 (Join to see) because I don't have physical custody either, but you find ways. The thing you DON'T want to do is go and get married again just so you have benefits. I hope it works out for you.

I'm not a finance specialist, but I'd suspect that the man hours needed to complete paperwork for a temporary situation and the time between when finance proposals are completed and actions are applied would back the reason pretty well. I'd recommend networking with some high-speed Finance Specialists that may be able to find you an alternative solution for what you're trying to accomplish.
