I submitted my retirement paperwork by email 2 months ago. I asked them to respond back that they had received it. I asked them twice. After asking them twice I got no response from Human Resources Command in Fort Knox. Is this the usual practice? I know it is a simple thing to do for most business emails to send an auto response that they received your message, so why can't the military do this?

Sir, I had similar issue and I called them directly and had no issue or really any wait time at all, give it a try, the gentleman I spoke with was really good and was able to answer all my questions.

Thank you. That is my next step. Though I was on hold forever the last time I called them :)

Maybe your paperwork was sent to Hillary Rodham Clinton by mistake...

They finally answered back by email. I also called them and they verified they had received paperwork. The squeaky wheel!

Why doesn't HRC reply back that they received your retirement paperwork?

LTC Pauline Geraci I got notice from my Retirement services Officer at Installation when it was submitted to HRC, the next thing I knew, I had retirement orders. Took 3-4 weeks from the time I submitted my packet at the installation RSO. I walked it point to point inside the unit, including the Brigade Commander.

I'd call HRC. Maybe they are confused getting it direct from the officer?

DFAS sent me a self addressed post card a couple of months after I sent in my paperwork.
