Today I gave anyone in my company that wanted to vote the ability to miss PT as long as they gave me the "I voted" sticker they hand out once a ballot is cast. Not a single Soldier took me up on this offer. Approximately 80% of my company are residents of Tennessee so being away from their polling station does not apply. When talking to the ones that aren't residents of Tennessee all of them told me they didn't mail in a ballot for one reason or another. Why do you think Soldiers, Warrant Officers, and Commissioned Officers chose not to vote? This is a right they are willing to lay down their lives for through their military service however they chose not to.

I Voted the 1st early voting day.
Also why do these Politian's have to ruin my NFL football games with their ads. We should have a button that says i voted and the ads stop. I am old enough to remember that football games were 1:30 long now because of all the Commercialism and football injuries it has become a 3:00 game.

My brother who is in his 70's has never voted. His excuse his one vote will not matter. Every vote counts but he is a stubborn old jarhead. I have only missed a couple elections in my life through no fault of my own. I was deployed and absentee ballots did not reach me. Too many pathetic excuses out there. Every single vote counts. This election is going to be one of the most important in our lives. I have heard that the popular vote is not important its the Electoral College that counts. I agree to a point. This does need to be looked at and maybe adjusted. I have no pity for those that do not vote and then want to critize the results. Just shut the hell up and keep that trap closed. Its like having been a military person or not and then bitching about those that chose to wear the uniform.

No.
The Electoral College is the only stopgap between democracy overrunning the Republic.
The NPV will be the end of any conservative action in America.
Consider this graphic.

I think it is part of my American duties to vote. I have not missed a vote since I was 18, I am now 67. I tell my wife, if you don't vote, I don't want to hear you complain about who got in. It is more important now than it has ever been in my opinion. If it is not done right, our democracy will be gone forever!!!! VOTE

I agree with your voting stance.
But I hope our democracy dies soon. We are a Republic, or we are supposed to be.
I discovered the reason (in my opinion) why people think we are a democracy.
It's in my book, Citizenship 1928.
I don't want to take the time to fully explain it here.
But if you want to know more, PM me and I'll explain.

A lot of soldiers did not vote while I was in due to not wanting to be singled out for doing so and being afraid of retaliation from senior personnel if they voted different from the ideas of their squad leaders, platoon sergeants, platoon leaders or company commanders. As I had a Company commander that made statements that anyone that voted for a certain president should be drummed out of the Army back in the 1970's

If you are deployed it's sometimes tough to get a ballot. But, otherwise it's probably a sign that the soldier, sailor or marine just doesn't trust our own government and that the biggest cheater wins.

PT was earlier (0630) than the polling stations open for early voting (0800) in TN.

I will not speak for all but the entire process is fouled with rhetoric or misleading information and so many are just tired of it. Not to mention how negative so many react if you do not feel as they do. I do to agree many feel as if their vote would not matter. I believe we all need to vote, as long as you are a citizen of this country and have idea to prove who you are. Anything less does not make any rational sense. We all need to become very aware that voting is about the people of this country and our future in it. It should be taken very seriously. I wish they could clean up the comments that are allowed to be made on an opponent and the rethoric and slander should not be allowed from either side. I wish we could stop pointing fingers, except when things go wrong and correct them. Also for the office of President it’s only 4 years, it’s not about you when you are in this position it’s about this land and its people and its future. Anything less should bot be acceptable.

Truthfully in the service, I was never afforded the opportunity. It’s kind of like all the great programs that SFLTAP offers like CSP that always gets denied because “business as usual” and area beautification matter more to the high ups in most units. That was just my experience at least

I can’t speak intelligently about your group. I can say when I went through my early years serving I could give a “F” about elections. I was concerned with me, how I was doing, where I was going, what would happen to me, in my own reality. It’s was just not important to me at the time, I didn’t care. I was blind, I could not see the forest through the trees.now so many many years later this particular election we seem to have a choice between a shit sandwich and a diarrhea shake. I don’t blame your people for not willing to make an effort. Maybe they were like my younger years, perhaps they don’t like what’s being served.

Maj James Tippins I have to tell you all things equal I’m confident I can do a better job, without hesitation. I’ve met many over my years who I strongly believe could do a better job as well. However things are not equal and I do not fantasize without being critical of my own short comings. That being said I must shift the attention and ask why the word “Evil” about the Democratic party. Before you assume I’m a democratic party supported let me just say I’ve always been an independent thinker who leans right in most idealistic aspects of government. Evil to me means I measure the acts of humans in accordance with one religion or another. Especially in politics I would not handicap my observations with the guidance of a religious doctrine. However we learn something new everyday. If you would care to expand on the Evil , I’m all ears .

CPO Bill Frey - Evil - when an administration opens the borders to 10 million illegals.
Evil - when the FEMA spends millions to build camps right outside a hurricane area in Asheville instead of helping the people affected. And then blocks aid from civilians because it goes against contracts they have with other providers.
Evil - when the federal government does almost nothing to help the fire victims on Maui.
Evil - when the federal government incites rioting in the Capitol.
Evil - when the federal government treat illegals better than vets and citizens.
Evil - when the federal government spends billions on other countries.
Evil - when the federal government abandons billions of dollars of equipment and thousands of people to the horrors of the Afghanistan Muslim terror.
And really stupendous evil from the Democrats: Kathleen H. Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense, a Democrat, signed DOD DIRECTIVE 5240.01, which effectively allows the military to use deadly force against civilians in the United States.
I could go on and on, but I see those things as evil...and that's just the tip. And they all seem to be generated by proponents of the Democratic Party.
This isn't the government I served 3.5 decades ago.

Maj James Tippins I certainly appreciate your point of view. Assuming everything you outlined to be accurate. Evil adds a layer of bias I do not think is of any value unless you’re interested in attracting religious members, a shock and awe. It’s “Evil” .. I prefer incompetent, poorly designed, wasteful, economically flawed, biased. In other words accurately dismantling a particular decision made by the current administration showing the pros and cons is far more effective than a label. A example: For me in general the Democratic Party has always (in my lifetime) advertised social programs which have squandered taxpayers money. With low ROI (return on investment) results of which created perpetual poverty, increased fraud, crime, division and created unfair EEO stylized culture. To name just one facet , however again Evil ? Maybe I’m picking on the use of a broad stroke use of word which to me provides only provocation of the emotion of fear, especially in religious circles. I rather the Republican Party and its supporters use accurate well thought out facts to expose failures. This is one , just one of my major gigs on Trump. I do not want to hear a businessman, president , leader tell me , it’s really really big, we have tremendous plans, or other valueless adjectives and labels. It’s time, I feel our elected officials have intelligent effective plans which create prosperity, security and a world leading society governed by a competent and unified administration from top to bottom on both sides of the aisle.

When you make a decision, in that last microsecond before it emerges from your brain, you have only two choices.
I chose good or evil to describe the actions of one person or group against another.
It's religious as well as moral.
I start with the premise that the United States, as designed by the Founders, is my basis for life on this planet. I go from there.
Add religion or morality as you wish, but I try to discern good actions from evil ones.
