Is there a link to this? I have not heard of supply diversity before.

LTC Michael Martin – While searching for DA guidance, I found this calendar of events from NG.:

NorthropGrumman.com. (2017, Mar. 7). 2017 Northrop Grumman Corporation Global Supplier Diversity Program Program Calendar of Events. Retrieved March 23, 2017 from http://www.northropgrumman.com/suppliers/OASISDocuments/EventCalendar.pdf

MSgt Ken "Airsoldier" Collins-Hardy - That is nice but it does not reflect efficiency or a cost benefit. This is a social engineering concept not based on a supply system's metrics of performance but rather whom is identifying as a particular social/economic group.

LTC Michael Martin – I think you're right. I'm not certain if it's the same concept but AAFES also appears to be a cohort in the Supplier Diversity Social-Engineering Coup.

The Exchange. (2017). Supplier Diversity. Retrieved from https://www.aafes.com/about-exchange/doing-business/supplier-diversity/

MSgt Ken "Airsoldier" Collins-Hardy - While I understand the concept I don't understand how this creates a free market system or a system based on supply/ demand. Plus, as a new person in the civilian job search market I have observed how some businesses may have a figure head as the owner due to their status as a gender, minority, Veteran, etc., just to receive no bid Government contracts. So, in my observation, cost of an item is not addressed. I think this is why Amazon does so well. The AAFES type business can only exist in a government financed operation. If AAFES or AMC for that matter was put in the free market they would experience a rapid hostile takeover, streamline process, then sell off just due to their inefficient nature.
