Why was my MOS changed from 92A to 09U? What do I need to do?

I recently found out that my MOS was changed to a 09U from a 92A. I have been a qualified 92A since 2006. My unit is not going through an MTOE change, my security clearance hasn’t been revoked. I was with the NYARNG from 2007-2019, when I IST’d to INARNG in Sept 2019. Does anyone have any ideas why this has happened or what I need to do? Thanks in advance!

You certainly need to speak with your S1 and CoC STAT since this code is usually for those getting forced reclassed or getting the boot. Your clearance is still good, as you say, but have you been notified of a QMP?

Yeah I’m waiting to hear back from my readiness NCO. I saw this change on a roster that was sent out recently. No notifications of anything.

I sure hope so! I’ve made it this far without issues! They aren’t giving me the boot yet! HahaMSG (Join to see)

The only thought that I have on this is that you may have been placed into a non-92A paragraph and line until INARNG can find 92A slot on paper to place you in. I look forward to learning what the bona-fide real deal answer is.

I do have an actual slot. I had to have one in order to IST. Also I am a Fed Tech so I can’t be coded access or what have you. I’m interested as well. Just crazy how stuff can just change or disappear

Caveat to all of this: I’ve never received a negative NCOER. Medically, I’m fit for duty.
