Just had ACL/Lateral meniscus reconstruction surgery a few weeks ago. Found out I got a course date for SLC in March. Physician won't put me on permit profile unit 6 months after or if my condition doesn't improve. Schools NCOIC told me to submit a 90 deferment for medical reason and since I'm on a month to month temporary profile until the physical therapist takes me off (year worth of therapy). Will this make a major impact on get a future course date?

Ouch. Your physical therapy is gonna be longer than 3 months. Honestly, I'd call the SLC School House at FLW to see what they say.

The SLC is at a national guard facility.

SSG Zachary Kelly - Interesting. Still, give them a call to see what their guidance would be.

You actually can't even go to a school while on a temporary profile. Just make sure you get it deferred quickly, if the school date passes and you haven't been deferred, you'll be listed as a no-show. If that happens it requires your CGs endorsement to get another class seat and you are placed at the very bottom of the priority list. For ALC and SLC that can put you back years

No. I had to defer ALC (well it was still BNCOC) because I hurt my back. This was in 2010. I was at a joint unit. 2012 I got to Riley and the day I in processed my company I had an email and welcome letter scheduled for ALC for June. My knee was jacked up right before I sent, not as bad as yours. I didn't get a perm profile til 2016. But that was also when they weren't doing the PT test at school. I just had to do the one 30 days prior.

Although idk how things are going now. That's my experience.
