Will decertified areas still get combat patch and be eligible for combat awards

Does anyone know, for sure not guessing, if the areas decertified for IDP will lose the right to earn combat patches and combat awards? These areas will still qualify for CZTE just not IDP.

According to AR 670-1, paragraph 21-17, you will still be entitled to a patch. Executive order 12744 designated Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates as combat zones. At this time, although the entitlements have changed, their designation as a combat zone has not been revoked.
