Will eliminating press briefings bring us closer to being a Great nation?

IMO, Trump doesn't give the polished responses that the press is expecting. Many in the public eye seem to play a role much like an actor when in front of an audience, I don't think this is the way that Trump operates and thus the press is trying to read between the lines and takes things out of context to enhance their sales and fuel the haters.

He should give a coherent response, not polished. Personally, I can barely understand him during interviews because he is often all over the place. Frankly, I would think less of my commander if he had such difficulty to express himself clearly.

Doesn't matter. People will still think there is a massive cover up and just handing out written responses will just increase that paranoia.

In this day and age, with photoshop and everything else, it would be easy enough to manipulate things to fit a false narrative too.

If by "great nation" you mean dictatorship. Although, since Spicey (and Trump) just lie about everything anyway, we are probably already there.
