I can't imagine a good reason for not having them, but if there is one, I, for one, would like to know. Is this a feature in the works, or no?

SN Greg Wright great post, I would like to see it immediately myself, RallyPoint can only grow and get better with time.

We plan to integrate groups in many different ways, including on the Home page. Lots of things in the works. I'm curious though what you had specifically in mind?

LTC Yinon Weiss The ability to send updates to specific groups, just like questions. While this may leave the doorway open for less disciplined posters to blast their content, I think that, for most of us, it would be a method of better targeting our audience, rather than having it limited to the (relatively) few people most have as contacts. (Relative to the whole user body). I specifically am asking now because I was going to post a question, then realized it should probably be an update under the new paradigm, and then was going to tag groups, like usual. Only to find them absent.

LTC Yinon Weiss While I have your attention, I may as well ask if there's any plans to allow titles in the updates?

SN Greg Wright I hope that the "groups" are managed separately from the Home page until the function of the Homepage is mature and stable. Even then it will probably make sense for many if not all of the groups to be separate. There is still an Updates group for instance. I was criticised for posting to Updates soon after the new Homepage rollout because I was supposed to make the post in the Update section of the homepage. In that case the system wasn't functioning quickly and my post to Update was invisible to me so I posted a similar question to Updates.
The Home page is more mature and stable now but I think groups should be separate from the Update. You can tag groups in the Share Link and Ask Questions sections of the Home page.
