Will I be able to get a couple of days off at the end of BCT to be available for my child’s birth?

Talk to your CoC and inform them of the situation and what you would like. The Army has a paternity leave program that grants a number of days that cost the solder using them nothing. The one hitch for you will be in the timing and that your AIT will be pushed back a bit assuming you are an OSUT soldier. The below link is informative only. Seek your CoC or your post chaplain.

Overview of the Army Paternity Leave Program
The Army paternity leave policy allows married male soldiers on active duty to take 20 days of nonchargeable leave for the birth of a child.

I would be extremely surprised if you were turned down. I had a fine Commander and my Chain of Command arrange for me to fly military airland enroute between deployments to be present for my second daughters birth.
