I might station at Korea either one of Yongsan or Daegu, my question is am I able to leave base with ASU on when I have important event or meet people like my family or friends? And another question is if I have a house in Korea, am I able to stay at my house, not in the base?

From your rank and dependent status you’ll most likely live on base. The Commands discourage wearing the uniform off garrison/post unless you’re commuting via POV to offpost living residence. All social activities are civilian attire. One exception, official missions via government vehicle from one installation gate non stop to another installation gate. Remember OPSEC is critical and there are plenty of anti US groups in S Korea that just like to pick fights with American soldiers.

You will be required to leave on base in barracks if you do not have accompanied dependents. As far as your uniform, unless you are attending a military function off base, you will not be allowed to wear the ASUs off post.

You can only live off base if you have defendants that are command sponsored and there is very little chance you will go to Yongsan as that base is at minimal Manning in preparation to close down completely.
