I applied on TOD to Djibouti for CO-ADOS. I'm not sure if Djibouti is still a combat zone, but if it is and I get accepted by the receiving unit, will I be authorized to wear a combat patch upon the completion of the tour? Or will I be exempt because my orders will say CO-ADOS instead of mobilization?

I’m the Army commander In Djibouti. I’d be glad to fill you in on any questions you have. Message me if you would like. You get a fwts patch. Where you serve will depend on the position.

No such thing as deployment patch. Rt sleeve patch is for deployment to a hostile fire zone. Not for being deployed

Yes, you will be awarded a combat patch. Camp Lemonnier is amazing, I hope you get the tour!. Ive been deployed there twice. I do intel and we were super busy with the threat in the region. Be ready for the hot and humid weather. Other than that, enjoy it!
