Will I be considered MOS-T during reclass after being Med dropped from the 18X course?

I was med dropped during the Q-course and am now going to AIT for 92Y. Since I’ve been in for a couple years and am reclassing most people say I’ll be with the other reclasses and NCO’s during AIT, however some say that since I was in training for the entirety of my time in, I’m still considered initial entry and will be treated like the people straight out of basic. My S1 says it’s a grey area. Anyone have any idea how it’ll work?

You are actually MOS qualified as an 11B. No one here can tell you what the Cadre will do with you at FT Lee, but you can call and ask them yourself. The most likely answer is that if you're sent as an IET Soldier you'll be treated as IET. If you're sent TDY Enroute with orders to your follow on assignment you'll be grouped with reclasses.

Thank you, I’ll give them a call. Will it state whether or not I’m TDY on my orders?

SPC (Join to see) yes, but no. Orders never use the phrase TDY Enroute. If your orders say you are going to Fort Lee to train then you're IET. If you receive orders to a different duty station - almost certainly the 82nd - and say you will attend TDY training, then you're TDY Enroute

SFC (Join to see) Has given you the best and most thorough answer possible, IMHO.
The only thing I can add is that were it *my* course, it would be silly to put you with the IET Soldiers. But if it DOES happen, do not act like the IET Soldiers. Show your professionalism, do the right thing, and continue to move forward as a hard charger. You may be med dropped from 18 series, but keep that hard charging fire alive and strive to be the best AIT Soldier, the best 92Y, the best overall Soldier that you can. There CAN be a large temptation to let yourself slide down to the typical IET behavior and standards. Don't do it.
Even if 18 series is no longer in play for you, you can still move forward with a great career, if you choose to.

It depends. We had some 18x reclasses at the 25 series schoolhouse, they were all MOS-T. Not sure how 92 series AIT works though
