I’m aware I’m able to get promoted during this process. My question is I am in the middle of getting a new mos. they told me the 3 jobs that got put in. Since the list comes out on the 24th and I won’t be awarded my new mos yet, will I still be able to make the list?

Yes you can make the list this month. You can still make the list months down the road once you have your new MOS and haven’t attended training yet. You’ll receive an ASI 4A until you attend training and that will allow you to get promoted. However you have one year after getting promoted to complete your MOS training or it will be revoked.

So I can make the list? Also when I make this list will it be with the mos I have since I haven’t been given a new one yet? Also what happens if I get promoted next month but when the job they give is not what I want and deny to re-enlist? I’m aware of 09U but what happens with my promotion since I made the list before I denied to reenlist

SGT (Join to see) you will actually be given a new MOS. The MAR2 process takes two weeks at the longest. When HRC chooses your new MOS, your MOS will be changed on your ERB that day and you will be given ASI 4A. So if you get 88M, your MOS will be 88M1O4A. 4A means not qualified in MOS, SM not at fault. The not at fault part allows you to stay promotable. If you fail your AIT then your ASI will become 4B meaning SM at fault, and you would become non promotable until you finish your next AIT.
If you deny reenlistment you will separate at 270 days. As I said earlier, if you promote and your ASI is 4A you have one year to complete AIT or your promotion will be revoked. If you decline to reenlist and your date of promotion you had and ASI 4A, you will have your promotion orders rescinded prior to separation

Sorry for all the questions SFC, I’m asking because hrc got back at my career counselor and said that the jobs that were put down were jobs I cannot do due to my limitations. And since the list comes out this week, I’m just curious if I’ll make the list as my mos. and what will happen if I did deny the job they give me. Appreciate the feedback

SGT (Join to see) tell your Career Counselor that they need to validate the MOS physical qualifications in Chapter 10B of the DA Pam against the physical limitations listed in your profile.

Soldiers in the U.S. Army Recovery Care Program, ARCP and U.S. Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) who are promotable and are pending referral to a Military Occupational Specialty Administrative Retention Review (MAR2), Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) or Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) will not be denied promotion on the basis of medical disqualification if they are otherwise qualified for promotion.
