Will I get weekends off when reclassifying to 74D?

I’m looking into reclassing to 74D. I’m just curious if you have weekends off? The school is at Leonard Wood. I was hoping I could go home to be with my family on the weekends if I do go this route. Thanks in advance!

Weekends are yours as prior service but don't expect to be going home. That is up to cadre discretion. You are in school and school rules are going to be different than regular army.

As an NCO you’ll be separated from the rest of the company. You’ll be in a different building all together. You’ll have weekends off, but you’ll be responsible for making all the hit times that’s put out by the DS. Enjoy FLW and good luck

Each Post has it's own regs for distance you can travel on weekends/passes.
