I enlisted 7 months ago as a 68W, but i have since taken an EMT course. I just recently passed all my exams for the class. However i did not enlist as an E-4 because at the time i was not a certified EMT so i could not use the Civilian Acquired Skills Program (CASP).

As long as you have your national registry certification you will be fast tracked through the EMT portion

Are you certified under the National Registry (NREMT) or is it a state certification? If it’s NREMT you should fast track. If it’s state you will have to go through the EMT Course.

If you don’t have your current national EMT certification, you’ll have to take the entire course. If you finished your course and have a current EMT certificate, they will accelerate you to the critical care (whiskey) portion.

Not as long as you have your documentation with you when you arrive. They will move you into another class if you are able to show them all of your documentation for your national certification for EMT and CPR being current.

I went through as an accelerant, through the fast track process, but i had to wait for slots to open in another company to move forward. I sat idle for about 6 weeks until slots opened up for the company ahead of me.

As long as your nremt is still valid during the time that you are win school you will be fast tracked to the medic portions. That means change companies too.

No. When you get to AIT, they’ll ask who has already received certification. It’s called “fast tracking”. They’ll send you to the company that is starting Whiskey phase. So don’t get too comfortable with the company you’re first assigned to.

They will come into your EMT class and ask if there are any EMTs or Nurses. Raise your hand and they will verify and fast track you to the Whiskey Phase

I’d say you “Should” be fast tracked to Whiskey phase. Unfortunately since you didn’t go through the ACASP it’s not on your contract. When you get to Golf Company make it known that you have your NREMT. Ensure that is a National Registry and not just a State EMT-B.
