I currently have 20 months left In my first contract and am planning to re-enlist for Civil Affairs as soon as possible. If I re-enlist to go to another MOS would I lose my enlistment bonus?
I am currently a 14T if that helps.

No you won't and I know this for a fact... I commanded ARSOF Recruiters to include CA. For CA you don't re-enlist, you get assessed. Anyway, is not a breach of contract but, for the sake of conversation, an enhancement for the overall Army's mission. I personally encouraged folks to reenlist and get bonuses prior to applying to any of the ARSOF mission sets (SF, PSYOP, CA) or the other ones I recruited for (EOD, WO, 160th). Nothing wrong with making a few dollars here or there!

You won't lose your bonus from reclassing and you'll actually get a much bigger bonus from it.
However you can't reclass to CA without an acceptance memo from passing selection. If you have that then you don't need to wait until your reenlistment window, take that directly to your Career Counselor

Just to make it clear - you can't reenlist for CA. You have to go to selection, pass, get accepted, and then it's written into your contract.

Look as long as you serve out your contract until your re-enlistment window opens up, then you have earned your bonus. Re-enlisting automatically opens a new ball game.
