Will I Lose Promotable Status due to Weapons Card Expiring?

I’ve been promotable for so long that my status was integrated into the automatic promotion list. Due to a 6+ month reclass, pregnancy, post partum, and COVID, I’m coming up on my weapons card hitting two years. My marketplace just opened today but it’s only for use for E5 P’s and up. First question, will I lose my promotable status due to hitting two years on the current card. Second, will losing my promotable status remove me from using marketplace even though it is currently open?
*I hit 24 months tomorrow on my weapons card, slotted to go to a range next week*

Don't allow this to happen to you and take it up the chain of command as far as you are willing to make a stink about it if it does happen. The Army is huge right now on protecting female soldiers, pregnancy and post partum leave is huge for them to take away a promotable status because pregnancy prevented you from going to the range. Look at your dates, the standard for several years now is FORSCOM does the range every six months, so were you pregnant 18months ago and then COVID prevented the range after your post partum leave? No commander in their right mind would consider taking away your promotable status with what you presented but be prepared with dates and a good explanation why you did not do the range since 2019 before COVID. Get your ducks in a row and have data (dates) to show why you could not have gone sooner.

You would lose your promotion points for marksmanship, but not necessarily your promotable status.

I guess things have changed. When I was in, a weapons card was to put in the butt slot of the weapons rack to account for your weapon not being there. Had nothing to do with qualification, familiarization, just the weapon was assigned to you.

Yes, sorry. I was referring to the DA 3595 that records a weapons qualification score. As for what we leave behind in the arms room, I haven't left a "weapons accountability card" in my assigned weapons' place since before 2015. Just sign it out and sign in back in on a sheet.
