Forgive me for throwing this into the mix. It's been an ugly election cycle that I think neither RP nor the country at large are proud of. I'm just getting a pulse on our membership. I'm sure there are a lot of folks who might like to know where the military community stands. Voting is anonymous, vote below:

The underdog winner is a prediction that the status quo politicians have lost. Hell has definitely frozen over.

Last night I was at a Jeff Dunham show in Fairfax, VA. A fairly liberal suburb of Washington, DC. Jeff did a voice poll of the two major candidates, by the sound of the shouting for your candidates name it was about 80% Trump, 20% Hillary. Jeff said across the country in every city it was pretty much the same. His conclusion was Hillary Supporters don't like puppets. I was thinking more of most Hillary supporters can't afford $60 ea for your tickets.

His audience is mostly conservatives, and he targets his act that way. While he makes tons of jokes about gays, muslims, and minority ethnic groups, he generally leaves the conservative christians alone. Here's a quote of his from an interview about his career and act:
"Dunham does concede that he’s extra-sensitive to one of his largest constituencies: the conservative “country crowd.” “That’s why I don’t pick on basic Christian-values stuff,” he told me. “Well, I also don’t like to, because that’s the way I was brought up.” He then stopped himself short and said: “Oh, boy. I’m walking into something here.”
Dunham started to explain — as if realizing it for the first time — that this would appear to make the jokes he does about Islam with Achmed “hypocritical.” But he quickly unburdened himself of the idea. “I try to make the majority of my audience laugh,” he said. “That’s my audience. They’ll laugh at the dead terrorist.”
So it's hardly surprising you would find way more Trump supporters at his shows than Hillary supporters. And it's got nothing to do with money.

GySgt Stephen Anderson - I do. But to be fair, I'm also military, so I guess I even out? Confused? Hypocritical?

Either way, we lose. Wednesday the 9th should be declared a national day of mourning where people pray/meditate and reflect on what it would take to elect an ethical and honest person to the office of President in four years.

Someone will win, someone will lose and either way we as the American people will lose as well. Just my $.02

Trump. Not that it wouldn't be interesting to have the first Female President be impeached by Congress and go to trial. Just imagine the ratings bump the Major TV Networks would get and the non-stop commentary on the News Networks. What fun!

You are forgetting the "Presidential Pardon" maybe? She would be allowed to pardon herself and Obama may do it after the elections and before she goes to trial. Just to show the American people how little they mean to BIG GOVERNMENT.

PO1 Richard Cormier - You're wrong, a presidential pardon DOES NOT apply to the Congressional Impeachment Authority. Impeachment is completely outside the "Judicial System" controlled by the President. First, the House or Representatives Impeaches the president for "Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors". Next, the Senate holds a trial, if they find the President guilty, he is immediately removed from office and the VP is sworn in as the President. It's a matter of the Separation between the three branches of government, not even the Supreme Court can step in and review/overturn the Congressional Impeachment proceedings.

To be impeached, she has to win. They didn't want to prosecute her husband for perjury (or anything else) so I am doubtful that Congress (which really hasn't done ANYTHING but bicker in the last decade +) will do ANYTHING.
Just my opinion (I also think BHO will pardon before indictment causing a BIG problem for Congress.)

Do we really need another question like this to "get the pulse" of the community? I think a simple search through the swamp of countless posts would show you that we have a good mix between both camps; some more vocal than others.
And why can't the poll include a "third party" option? While they haven't been all over the news and do not really stand a chance to win, there are still third party candidates on the ticket next week.

Hey Ben, thanks for the note. Definitely with you, there's been way too much of this. I was just talking to some folks about the power of our network last night and they asked if we had any recent polling data of our base re: the election. So i'm throwing more crap onto the pile, with the sole intention of grabbing a recent snapshot. Hope that's alright, i promise you won't see any more of it from me!

Nick Petros - Oh it's all good. I don't mind the post really. I was merely pointing out that the election has gotten a lot of coverage here as it should. I think it is important that we, as Veterans, talk about these issues because they do directly impact us. I, like so many others, am ready for Tuesday to come and for all this to be put behind us and to find out who is at the wheel for at least the next 4 years.

Nick Petros - So are you asking us who we are voting for or who we think will win the election? Those are two different questions and the wording of your question "Who will it be?" is not very clear.
Could you change the poll to two questions.
1. Who are you voting for? Trump Clinton Stine Johnson
2. Who do you think will win? Trump Clinton Stine Johnson
Because I have already cast my vote via absentee ballot and I don't think my choice will win.

SSG Tom Pike - Clarity would have been nice - as I voted in this poll in regards to who I think is going to win...not so much as who I want to win (or voted for in the polls).
