Will my chapter 2 physical be good even right before the expiration?

Hello. I am currently a direct commission selectee.
My chapter 2 physical expires on Dec 22. 2024. That will be two years. Last update from HRC is, "Once USAREC surgeon general receives your commissioning packet for review/ validation the processing time on average usually takes 30 days."
That will essentially put hearing anything back at November 1.
Is there any chance that the USAREC Surgeon General could say that it's too close to the expiration and he wants another one?
Is it more likely he will go by the book and approve it?
Thank you all.

SPC (Join to see), I merged the question you just posted with this one as it is the same question (just worded differently). If you have something to add/change, then edit this post.
Specific to your question, the two year limit on the physical pertains to the date of your appointment as an officer, not when it is processed through USAREC medical. It is binary - if you'll be commissioned within two years of the medical exam, then you're good. If not, then you are required to undergo a complete medical exam again (AR 601-270*, 8-17).

Your recruiter or POC would know the best practice here however if a physical is green on the day you are reviewed, it is very unlikely they would require another. These things are usually green or red and if green, I would not concern myself.

Line your ducks up to expect to take the physical all over again.
I DC'd myself, and all those I know that DC'd faced the same issue. The Physical is the absolute biggest bottleneck.
However, don't let it discourage you. The USAR is in short supply of soldiers and if you jump through the hoops will eventually get around to commissioning you.
I was given 180 days to get my physical, and test after test HRC kept coming back with more tests to do, and I literally went to day 180.
Finally............. someone with enough rank wrote a memo "ALL WAIVERS GRANTED" and just ended the nonsense on day 180.
The annoying thing is I (and you in this case) will have to keep jumping through hoops until USARC get's board.
