Why would you get paid after you separate?

Your VA GI Bill and several other VA benefits are determined by the amount of qualifying service you have.

Chapter 8 does not receive separation pay. In addition to receive separation pay you must be a PFC with 6 years.

Chapter 8 is a Voluntary Separation and you will be required to pay back a prorated portion of any bonus you may have received.

Veteran status is a legel term that is determined by the amount of qualifying service you have.

PV2 (Join to see) Did you read Chapter 8 in AR 600-235? It answers the question of characterization of service , which answers the VA benefits question. TDS usually has a wall of info sheets on different chapters.

Other VA compensation is based on your claim you may or may not file depending on your individual health outside of pregnancy.

SFC (Join to see) described the separation pay process. It doesn't appear you are eligible. Your pay stops on your last day of AD (if allowed to take leave, you are still AD until the last day of leave). Your final pay I see held until Finance completes an audit. This can be 30-60 days. Ensure you do not have a FLIPL when you outprocess, especially for CIF. This will help you get that final pay on time.

There is no other compensation. That I know of that comes after you separate. Chapter is how the Army breaks up with you. It's not me, it's you. Here are your separation orders And your DD214.

What payments are you expecting? From what/who? If you are no longer on AD you won't be getting a monthly paycheck. You won't be a 20 yr retiree so no retirement pension. If you are inquiring about VA monthly compensation payments or VA medical services that is between you and them and whether you meet their eligibility requirements. Their are shades of grey to your question/answer and without more details I can't answer exactly what will pertain to your situation. But the short answer is there isn't an automatic payment/benefits just because you left service. It depends on the details.
