Cpt jamie brunette suicide at 30
With the sudden death of Captain Jamie Brunette to suicide, one has to start to wonder what is really happening throughout our military in relation to stopping these horrific acts?
We have all stood in formation, ready for the weekend, only to hear the Commander talk about Suicide Prevention. And we stand there, nod our heads and say 'Hooah', we don't really listen... We're more concerned about getting home to BBQ with our family and friends, getting the latest COD game, or heading out to the club.
Since we will never really know the hardships that would drive one to take their own lives, how can leadership, at all levels, become more effective at assisting the individual?
With that being said, I am asking you all what you think can be done to help either stop the rate of suicides, or at least slow them down?

Wish this still wasn’t going on today, it’s just as bad or worse and I’m hoping the military, DoD, government etc. find out how to prevent this!
