Honestly, not trying to be a smartass but, take a look around, there’s SMS with complete sleeves. I personally know four NCOs with two full sleeves and no one has said anything about being out of regulation. The regulations is actually very vague when it comes to tattoos, just remember nothing above the collar bone, nothing below the wrist, a single black band on the ring finger is acceptable.

SFC (Join to see) you’re Sergeant it doesn’t not say a single black band is acceptable, however it does state a soldier may have one ring tattoo on each hand

SSG (Join to see) just wanted to know why you were being too specific with type of band. I know what the reg says. People tend to put their own spin on 670-1 which is not the right thing to do. Never read too much into a reg

SFC (Join to see) It was just what I’d heard, and I guess I ran with it.

But seriously here's the link that may be the most useful to you.

I have seen the link previously. The general thought is that any uniform other than the APFT uniform is not acceptable to show an individuals tattoo. There some grey area in understanding it completely.

SSG (Join to see) If it’s not in 670-1 as unacceptable, then it is acceptable
