The Russians from my understanding are becoming less fond of us while North Korea threatens the United Sates because of a soon to be playing comedy movie. Maybe the North Koreans have another nation backing them up or they may back up another hostile nation towards us. With the recent events floating about, I do see the possibility of another World War erupting but of course this is simply my opinion. However, I'd like to know, what do you think?

I believe that we are becoming our own worse enemy. The country is more divided and divisive that I have seen in my lifetime and I only hope that we can once again unite for the greater good of the Nation.

Yes, our own political system is our worse enemy. While billions of dollars are spent in campaigning, lobbying, and litigation process periodically, the money can be better spent on improving our infrastructure, education system, and health care system.

SFC Fung - I'm still flabergasted that we didn't start a large infrastructure rebuilding initiative to help get out of the recession. Banks are lending at near 0%. We could have put people to work at almost no penalty. Obama's biggest mistake upon entering office was to provide bail outs to the banks while ignoring the average worker. Subsidized refinancing of home loans to take advantage of low interest rates and a jobs program to repair infrastructure would have had unemployment and foreclosures both down significantly compared to what we currently have. Instead, we have banks sitting on record levels of capital and the only true recovery is happening for the richest 1%.

MAJ, more baffling is that people stash their money oversea to avoid paying taxes. Some people would argue with the US taxes being too high. The tax rate needs to be high because of these corporations and people avoid paying taxes. Some even say that it isn't worth to be a US citizen. How convenient to them that it was worth being a US citizen when they were getting rich. While talking about deporting illegal aliens who are willing to pick strawberry under the sun over 100 degree for minimum wage and willing to pay taxes, they don't even talk about these people who think paying taxes isn't their patriotic duty. I seriously doubt the BRAC was saving any money at all. The Army alone has been spending millions year after year closing down and moving these bases around. On top of it, they spend even more money to buy new equipment because it isn't cost effective to move to the new base. Yet, I have seen the remaining bases building new structures over the last decade. At Fort Lee, they built a whole new campus for the Ordnance Corps and School out of a swamp. At Fort Lewis, I can't even count how many new structures they have been building over the course of the last decade. If they are wanting to draw down so bad, why have they built all these new buildings to accommodate the units and the troops in the first place?

And yes, the banks were too big to fail. They would file bankruptcy and bounce back anyway. There are numerous corporations that have more cash on hand than the US government. Does making them pay less taxes will entice them to create more jobs? Not likely. The money will just go to the shareholders anyway.

SFC John Gates, providing healthcare is a huge issue and a controversial one. There is a huge veteran and civilian population relying on the government providing them healthcare because they either got hurt on the job or being entitled to such benefit after they retire. Are you suggesting that you will give up your medical benefit from the military retirement?

The real problem is that the government didn't foresee the aftermath or responsibility that came with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes, I know about California because I am a California resident. People may be moving OUT of Cali in droves. But the California population is growing year after year steadily. I agree with you about the government spending too much money and raising taxes year after year isn't the proper solution. Like the VA, there is a huge problem with accountability and management issue. There is also the litigation problem with people suing the local or state government for petty issues.

The real problem is with the people who don't raise their kids correctly and suing everybody else when everybody else is trying to keep the kids in check. We also have the culture that has an unhealthy lifestyle that makes the medical cost skyrocket. The list goes on.

Radical Muslims already living inside the US. In college I wrote extensively on the existence of terrorists within our borders. The average American has no idea what is going on around them, they are complacent and blind.
Fact: Drug cartels were paid thousands of dollars to smuggle Islamic terrorists into America across the southern border.
Fact: Each day somewhere in the world radioactive material in varying quantity goes missing.
Fact: Inside the US there are 35 Muslim compounds, cities within cities or states solely for Muslim people.
I could go on but all I can really say is watch your 6.

By compound are you referring to a Christian commune or a place where only Christians are welcome or a gathering of people with the same ideological beliefs ?
As a Chrisitan I can say that I have never met another Christian who would not associate or communicate with people of other faiths. Sure I am aware there are groups that live in compounds within the US that operate under the guise of Chrisitianity but that is not their true purpose.
I am not trying to promote islamaphobia in any way shape or form I am merely advising that there are radical groups in the US harboring terrorists.

Religious extremist, corporatocracy, and the capitalist system it self. This is not only Our enemy, but a World Enemy and it is accelerating. Look at all the protest and violence going on all around us. If you look at the root causes it's because governments have allowed the extreme religious elements to take root and become to powerful again, plus governments have been drained dry from corrupt politicians, and corporations whose only goal is to make profits no matter the human cost causing war, environmental disasters, displacement, and extreme poverty so the few can live well. It has always been are enemy but we have subdued it with good leaders, and the help of Glass Steagal and other Legislation that keeps the system in check like the past VRA, formula, and not allowing citizens united and other Super Pacs to over rule and negate a regular Citizens vote by simply pouring money into our Political system to get their desired results. We were told that that by deregulating the system it would help allow businesses to flourish which it did, and by taking the voting formula away they have allowed states known to have biases to try stop certain groups from voting, and now allowing corporations to speak for us, to me that's a conflict of interest, corporations do not know what's best for average Citizen, problem is without checks and balances there's nothing to stop them from raising prices more. Our Founding Fathers knew this. Our Presidents have all talked about it, and the need to fight against it. This President by his own actions acknowledges this and is buckin the unfairness in the system. Fighting for equal rights ,smarter gun control laws, immigration reform, making the wealthiest of us contribute more like they used to and to close tax havens that siphon monies that would normally go towards our countries bottom line, or subsidizing companies who don't need it affordable health care and regulating all the medical fields to insure we the average Citizen gets treated fairly, stopping senseless wars that benefit know one but the war companies and the medical fields again. Our worst Enemy is our selves. Rome failed just like most other advanced Civilizations because they became to greedy and lawless, their government failed to lead and they became complacent and out of touch with common folk they were supposed to serve, which allowed a small chink in their armour to grow and grow. We are currently heading down that path. In my Humble opinion. Good news is that we have chance to correct that by simply voting in Nov and in 2016. We the People can deliver America back to it's true self. But we need smart compassionate leaders who are willing to work towards the betterment of all not self.

What I haven't seen regarding this is any condemnation coming from the Executive or Legislative branches. That was no accident, they were putting their foot in the water.

You won't see any condemnation from the executive branch because Israel didn't do it.
