With the current government shutdown going on for so long, is President Trump's wall really worth it?

Considering the middle class provides much of the state revenues, that could be a real problem in the future. You probably know this, but look at the long term debt. All those pensions and benefits obligated MUST be paid, the question is who will be contributing to them?

MCPO Roger Collins - Good question. We here in The Peoples UnDemocratic Republic of Illinois are already dealing with this problem. Businesses and homeowners have been taxed to the point that there is a mass migration from the state, particularly in the more "progressive" Chicago Land area.

MCPO Roger Collins - Well, we live about as far from Chicago as you can get and still be in Illinois. We are in the middle of the Shawnee National Forest, only 30 miles from Paducah, KY. Luckily, we are pretty much immune to the illness that pervades Chicago Land, but the whole state suffers to some degree.
