If you live with severe chronic pain from military or other injuries, especially neurological pain, headaches, etc., and are able to work,

What are you doing to cope with your pain?

How hard has it been?

I developed debilitating sciatica. My GP explained my options: 1. Neurologist for pain meds or 2. Orthopedic surgeon to be cut.

The pain meds were a bust. The side effects were unacceptable.

Cutting? Not a fan.

My daughter insisted that I visit here chiropractor. I wasn't a believer, but she had been injured while on the rowing crew at UCI and none of their best sports medicine people could help. Her chiropractor not only fixed the problem but sorted out some chronic ones as well.

So I went to keep the peace.

Instant fix.

No, not all chiropractors are as good. Mine is a... in my daughter's words, a witch doctor.

If you lived in Orange County, California, I'd say go immediately.

If not, you'll have to do some research and find a witch doc... chiropractor in your area.

Good luck

My stuff is in the neck. Chiropractic was tried but not successful. Even DOs say not to go to a DC...

Periodic trips to the chiropractor and a lot of vitamin M (motrin). Some days I feel like I'm 80.

CPL Rick Stasny I would caution you about the Vitamin M. it is VERY hard on your kidneys. I now not only have the back issues but can no longer take the grunt candy as it interferes with the kidney meds I now take for chronic kidney disease caused by the long term motrin use. yes most days even as I am only 44yrs old I look like an 80yr old trying to get around.

Thanks for caution #SPC Charles Griffith, I just wish something else worked as good. It really sucks when the chassis breaks down.

The bad thing about medicinal marijuana is that it is federally illegal so if you are subject to random drug testing at your place of employment, you can't use it!

Yes, I was referring to myself and others who have chronic pain and still work for the government or are in the medical field and are still subject to drug testing. Sorry I wasn't clear.
