Would a small team from the VA that monitors VA tagged posts be beneficial? Why or why not?

Actually the VA probably would push back on that notion hard. A big part of the rub is over policy vs. procedure and process. Any flunky can respond with fill out this form. Then it will be like the phone calls. I don't have that information regarding scheduling. So questions like what's your policy on potential Agent Orange stuff but my record is lost, or whatever else is a big problem. VA can answer several ways, most being construed as setting policy that now everyone wants their piece of the pie or will bitch to their Congress rep about. Anything posted officially by VA is a record that can be subpoenaed, always by a plaintiff. In other words, nothing good can happen as far as VA would be concerned, so why do it?

I agree 100%, sir. It will be like their IRIS system or whatever they call their online help system. We'll get super generic responses that pretty much tell us to cal the 1-800 number that is pretty much always busy.

Does anyone remember a VA rep sitting down with you during your transition and saying " this is your record, this is what you are entitled to and this is how you do it". I voted NO and this is why.......they will surely not help you by monitoring our site.....

I think it would be. At least here, they would get the unvarnished truth from veterans. Now with that being said, you have to understand that most people tell the 90% truth when reporting things. Not that they are lying but it is proven that most people only report the things that help their case and when it gets dug into the whole truth comes out. I do think it would be beneficial though as they would at least get the pulse of some of the issues facing veterans and the VA.
