I started my initial process for hopefully an acceptance in to West Point and I was hoping someone that knows more about it could lead me in the right direction. Thank you.

I just had four Soldiers try to do that through the Reserves. The first thing is download the application and read through it with your FLL. Highlight all the required documents that you need and grab those. Once you have those and fill out the application see if your command will give you a letter of recommendation. The higher the officer the better. In addition congressional nominations will greatly assist.

Good luck.

Thank you Sir. I started the initial process for the class of 2019 (I'm early) and just recently sent in my ACT and SAT scores. I was told they will determine if I'm competitive enough for the actual evaluation, sir. So, hopefully they say I'm qualified so that I can start the paperwork. This is a dream of mine. Thank you again for the informative information I will definitely put it in to effect, if and when they say I'm good to go, sir.
       Very Respectfully,

Do all you can to improve your SAT and ACT scores. Take several times. Be a leader. Get involved.

I know that I'm late joining this discussion, but I have some personal experience that may help you out. I was a former enlisted Marine that went to the Naval Academy. I realize that you are applying to WP, but I think that requirements are fairly similar. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
