I would say that it's very much dependent on your interest, what you hope to get out of CA, and what you will contribute. If you provide more information, you'll get a response that will best guide you.

It's a good field, but why do you want to do it?

Clearly everyones situation is completely unique, but that's the great thing about a Civl Affairs career, its unique.
What are you looking for? What are you looking to accomplish? What is it that you don't think you'll get from an MP career that you can from Civil Affairs? Please continue to post here so others may see question and answers, but feel free to contact me at the Office: [login to see]

We'll, I can tell you I have done everything that I have wanted to do as an MP, I have Lead, Fought and Trained. I have always had that drive to help people, but as you move up you do less of that (of course my Soldiers will always be helped). I have wanted to do something that not many people get to do, something that I can see tangible results and just have job satisfaction no fanfare or praise, just knowing that something was accomplished. When it comes to the question, what can I bring to the table?, I bring knowledge and training abilities, love for the Military, a second language skill set, experience in growing up and living in a foreign country, love for learning different cultures and I'm for the most part an independent thinker.

I’m not sure if this is a good answer.

I looked into it, but unfortunately they are not taking SFC applications.
