My wife just had kiddo number two, and we received a civillian referral initially that my wife loves, but were told to continue with them, we'd need to switch to Tricare Standard. Is there anyone who switched to standard on active duty for this reason? Would this be a big financial mistake?

I have remote and at one point I was told that the only difference is that I'm far away from an active duty post and that as long as your provider accepts Tricare, there should be no difference in pay or treatment. Maybe call the one source people and ask them.

Check out tircare.mil. Depends on you copays and cost shares. If the services she receives are authorized services by TRICARE. Hard to say, TRICARE, come 1 January will have changes. Also, you don't mention if you are stateside or overseas.
